Through fairy-tale landscapes on snowshoes

During the cold season, Val di Sole offers thrilling snow-covered landscapes that express all the magic of the winter. To fully appreciate the atmosphere of nature at rest, you need to leave the ski runs, the roads and the villages, and reach the forests and meadows, candid and silent, where the snow is often deep.

What is the best way to appreciate these landscapes? The solution is to put on snowshoes, an ancient form of equipment that allows us to walk on freshly fallen snow without sinking; the slow pace that characterises these walks allows us to observe the surroundings, appreciate the landscape, lose ourselves in our thoughts or chat with our companions.

In Val di Sole, there are plenty of trails dedicated to this sport! If you don’t have a pair of snowshoes, ask at the Hotel reception; we will show you the nearest shop and the best trails to follow according to the amount of snow in our mountains...
